About Us

In a context of climate breakdown and technological disruption, Dark Matter Labs focuses on accelerating societal transition towards collective care, shared agency, long-termism and interconnectedness. Our daily work ranges from policy and regulation to finance and data, from governance and democratic participation to organisational culture and identity.

We organise our work around what this transition needs, and the things we want to see in the world. To keep that transparent, we undertake open work in collaborative partnerships to provoke alternative visions of the future, designing how they might look in practice, and experimenting in context to reveal how they could work and enable the necessary change. More about us here.

About This Role

Dark Matter Labs is looking for a person with high integrity to steward our key People processes including hiring, onboarding, feedback processes and off-boarding. This person in the short-term would act as a sabbatical cover but as we are looking to expand our people processes team we are hoping to making this a long-term hire. We are constantly working on creating and understanding what an equal, just and safe environment looks and feels like within Dm, and how that manifests when working with partners. ****If you have lived or learnt experience in these areas that you would be open to bringing this role please let us know in your cover letter, although this isn’t an essential requirement for the role.

This work sits within our organisational development team.

We currently have legal entities in the UK, the Netherlands, Sweden, South Korea and Canada with a joint turnover in 2021 around £3million and a team of around 60.

In this role your focus will likely be split across some key areas of work:

In all these areas we are looking at the holder of this role to help shape these processes, challenge them and help better the existing ones and identify the missing approaches/processes.
